Launch Party!

After countless hours of hard work spread over 22 months, we were thrilled to have our new game in hand and ready to launch! It was quite the process, one full of imagining, creating, developing, designing, redesigning, writing, discussing, and so much more. We even had a few months when we had to put it all down and walk away because it all felt too overwhelming. But good things don’t come to those who quit, so we pushed through and finished with a great product that we were ready to share with the world!

What better way to share our game officially but to have a launch party? So, On April 18, 2026, we gathered with our family, friends, and many neighbors at The Granary, a beautiful and rustic venue at Valley Pike Farm Market in Weyer's Cave, Virginia.

The event was from 2-4 PM and was a time to learn more about the backstory of the game, the game's development, as well as a time to learn how to play.

Each table of guests had a "KooseKort Ambassador," who was responsible for facilitating games, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth and positive first experience for everyone. These 15 ambassadors had previously learned how to play and had plenty of practice, so they felt equipped to do the job. We are thankful for their help, as it would've been too difficult for Julie, Janet, Scott, and me to answer each and every question that 65 people had as they played.

As we circulated to see how guests were enjoying the game, it brought us such joy to hear positive comments, great questions, and laughter. People were having fun and connecting with each other, which is and always has been our goal for this game!

As the event wrapped up around 3:45, our guests were given the chance to purchase the game and it honestly felt surreal to be selling a real product that we made! What a blessing to see the game 100% finished and being taken out into the world!

We are especially thankful for our great photographer, Mike from Small and Tall Photography who captured these smiles, the game in action, plus many other fun details. He did a fantastic job and we will always treasure these precious memories.

Finally, we want to thank our ambassadors and guests, once again, for taking time out from their busy lives to help us celebrate such a special day. We are truly grateful and look forward to more fun times around the table ahead!

Bringing people together,

Laura
